The Vallée de la Gastronomie is a landmark route of almost 620 km (385 miles) linking Dijon to Marseille, crossing Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. It brings together more than 448 gourmet stops: producers, workshops, tastings and characterful places to stay.
The route has established itself as a showcase for French terroir, celebrating the gastronomic way of life of each region: cheese dairies, chocolate makers, truffles, oils, wines, markets and wine-tasting experiences.
One essential stretch runs through Burgundy, where wine trails, regional cooking (snails, gingerbread, mustard) and a remarkable winemaking and architectural heritage all come together.
