Based in Beaune, the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne belongs to a network of three sites (Chablis, Beaune, Mâcon). A genuine interpretation centre for the UNESCO-listed terroir, it invites every visitor, from complete beginner to seasoned enthusiast, to a sensory and educational experience.
On site:
- Multimedia and interactive installations that explain the Climats of the Burgundy vineyard and their World Heritage listing.
- A rooftop viewpoint on the fifth floor with a sweeping view over the surrounding vines, reached by a panoramic outdoor spiral ramp.
- A playful cabotte trail for children, explaining the idea of terroir in a hands-on way.
- Cultural activities and events throughout the year.
